The life of a black child from Mganu PS & Tyelimhlophe Agricultural School will be improved for the better and produce quality education results. This, after learners from these schools were handed over school bags, school shoes, pens, pencils as well as sanitary towels by the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development Mzwanele Nyhontso as part of back to school campaign.
This campaign is part of the department’s commitment to empower rural communities of KwaBhaca by ensuring that there is access to opportunities and resources necessary for academic success.
Through this initiative, government seeks to provide learners with essential educational tools and support systems that will not only enhance their learning experience but equip them to make meaningful contributions to their communities in the long run.
During the stakeholder’s engagement including communities & SGB, the structures raised their concerns in relation to service delivery as well as the schools infrastructure, construction of the bridge, Library in school, network challenges, water & access road.
Minister Nyhontso was accompanied MEC for Agriculture, Ms. Nonceba Kontsiwe, Alfred Nzo District Municipality Acting Executive of the day Cllr. Sobane Mnukwa, the Speaker Cllr. Sixolile Mehlomakhulu and Umzimvubu Local Municipality Mayor Cllr. Zukiswa Ndevu
He is expected to wrap-up his back to school campaign at Meje Primary School in Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality.
